1970 Land Rover Other Description

1970 Land Rover Series 2a for sale. This Rover is in good driveable condition, but is not a show car. It has a 2.25L 4 cylinder gas engine with Weber carb, manual transmission with factory Fairey overdrive, and high/low speed transfer case. Freewheeling hubs on the front axle. It has a hardtop, canvas soft top, and bikini top. The suspension has been upgraded with parabolic springs and Old Man Emu shocks. The vehicle is all original with exception of the Weber carb, spin on oil filter adapter, alternator (in lieu of generator), and Pertronix ignition. Electrics work except for wipers. Instruments work except for oil pressure gauge. Some minor rust on the bulkhead in non-structural areas as well as the frame, but overall it's solid.
Pictures show the the rust areas on the bulkhead and frame. On the bulkhead it's beneath the vent flap seal on the drivers side and a hole at the very bottom below the bottom door hinge on either side. On the frame it's at the rear where the rear crossmember overlays the box section of the frame.
