This truck sold new in Palo Alto Ca, and has always enjoyed a fine home. A 3,9 L V8 Engine 5-Speed MANUAL GEARS, a real man's truck and a genuine joy to drive under a glorious sunny day.
This D90 is in a GENUINE UNMOLESTED CONDITION PERIOD. D-90 in Perfect, and I mean PERFECT mechanical condition. LR service bill of $ 8,000 dollars at 64,000 miles. DEFENDER looks and drives as BRAND NEW. For sale by owner. My name is Victor, my phone number is 1 (514) 331-3160, you can call me and ask me all kind of questions, copies of all work done, pictures of any angle you may like. I have the two LR tops, like NEW, the side steps too, and the wheel cover with green LR logo as well. 2 keys, Original Land Rover Bag, all literature, brochures, folds outs, and manuals in MINT condition (see photo). Please feel free to leave me a message if you wish for me to call you back and a best time to reach you. NEVER ABUSED, NEVER taken off road, NEVER DRIVEN IN THE RAIN, an of courseandOBVIOUSLYZERO and I mean ZERO RUST or any sign of corrosion even the surface kind.
If you have been contemplating to acquire a DEFENDER in the last while I doubt that you find a better one than this one. This is because I am a very, very meticulous man. For a 23 year old vehicle, this DEFENDER SCREAMS NEW. It would be degrading to say the least, to compare it to most others LR Defenders for sale. Please LOOK closely and well at all the photos of the others defenders for sale, they are showing their rust everywhere pass their shiny wash. Also look for and see all the many imperfections that an abuse vehicle shows after years of neglect, like many original pieces broken, missing, rusted, torn, chipped, most unseen by theuntrainedeye. Remember and keep in mind that these particular vehicles DEFENDER'S NAS are decades old. The only way to keep them new during all this time is to garage them always, and not to ever drive then in the rain, or leave them exposed for endless hours under the potent sun daily. Now once you find one, that is a pampered much sought after collector vehicle.
To back my statement that my DEFENDER is a perfect perfect example. I have the last service bill, near $ 8.000 dollars at Land Rover Dealer, NOT your corner mechanic. At LR, every issue (minor or not) was done and serviced, all work, repair or piece that was suggested to fix was changed and replaced for all new ones, all brand new parts were ordered, all fluids changed and flashed often, refilled by fresh ones, all hoses dry or not were replaced, brackets, dry nuts, bolts, o-rings, gaskets, all filters, cups, clamps, etc, etc, all new. YES BRAND NEW!, that what $ 8,000 dollars gets you. All this work was done at around 64,000 Miles. ZERO LEAKS, ZERO RUST, ZERO ACCIDENTS.
What I mean to potential buyers is to please understand that there are two kinds of LR owners; There are the ones that they may do all work & repairs themselves, where they shop around onlineendlesslyfor parts used, salvage, rebuilt, refurbished. And then, they may have their "specialised" mechanic do all the work bit by bit.
And then, there are the other Land Rover owners, those who may not be experts at it, but understand and choose to have all repairs and service done by their authorised LAND ROVER dealer, and who do pay dearly & deeply out of pocket for all work performed. But in exchange of that they obtain a REAL PIECE OF MIND. And... they have the right to walk right back in and blast to anyone if things were missed during that meticulous work order.
Please understand that Land Rover produced SPECIAL Defenders for the North American market NAS, and in it, it feature a unique build on a CONVERTIBLE model, these were launch "the convertibles ones" ascollectablesfrom the get go.These are very rare trucks with only a few per hundred of D-90 of them imported per year for the entire USA. This is not the case AT ALL for the NAS hard top, the NON-Convertible D90.
Now, you do NOT have to pay a penny as a conditional buyer. If you like this VEHICLE and may have the means to buy it, then we will work from there. I will contemplate best offers as well. NO scammers, or submarine engineerbuyers here. You must be a creature with a heart beat and be able to meet and show your face with a bank check. So come along, I will be happy to share an endless test drive with you, get you ice cream, and take nice selfies of us.
NOW you may ask yourself, WHY am I selling this beauty that has taken many many important hours of my life caring for it?. Well, I am in my forties now, and recently married. My beloved sweetheart wife is maybe 3 weekspregnant. We are still working on our first child. I wish I wouldn't have to sell, but I barely drive it as before, or as I thought I would. I have dreams of taking my kid for rides in this car years from now, but that wont happen. I want to sell. I can no longer have many cars.
I will also be listing soon, my other toy. My first convertible. A 1979 MG MIDGET Roaster Convertible in Rouge Vermilion, black top and black interior manual 4 speed, 1.5L Engine. Believe it or not with only 8,500 ORIGINAL Miles!! YES practicallya museumpiece by all means. Still has the original KELLY tires and vinyl plastic that covers the top windows (It was never removed). I never drove it with the top on.
Thanks for looking, and the best of luck on your search. A foot note. I was a member on e-bay since 2006 with the user name of tangerineto, the colourof the MG. But that account was lost. Upon claiming it back, ebay said it happened due to malfunctionson its system. I had over 19 stars all with 100% good feedback, but then again I never sold anything on ebay. I only purchased. Nobody complainswhen they get paid.
Well, I HAVE TRIED TO BE VERY EXPLICITHERE, my objective was to put at ease to anyone interested on my DEFENDER. I sincerely hope that I have accomplishedthat, leaving zero doubt that I am the rightfulowner of the vehicle that I am listing.
If you need any information please contact me, Victor (514) 331-3160 I am in Montreal Quebec CANADA, 120 miles from Vermont USA.
Cheers
