1989 Land Rover Defender 110
Pickup Truck 4x4 with Turbodiesel Engine. Here to sell at No Reserve to the highest last minute bidder is a rare to find 1989 Land Rover Defender 110 Pick Up 4x4 with Turbodiesel engine. It is a good running and driving classic as described below and shown. See video as shown above driven by the driver who is tall at 6'3" so you may not look as big driving it.This is a 1989 Land Rover Defender 110 Pick-Up, imported to the US from a small town on the west coast of Scotland. It has just over 52,000 original miles which as you may know is nothing for a good diesel engine like ours has. We have included a couple of example pictures above, such as a restored twin to our 1989 Land Rover Defender 110. It just sold recently on the Oct. 7, 2017 Mecum sale in Chicago and with 10% Buyers Premium for $47,300. This vehicle didn't have the correct seats in it like ours has but we aren't sure how much that hurt value. It also doesn't list that it had Air Conditioning like the factory AC ours has so it maybe did not have air I assume since that would of been a option on a Defender like this. The one sold at auction also had a engine with high miles which needed to be rebuilt. Our original, strong engine has only 52,000 miles since new. Ours also has the high back original leather seats and along with the factory AC these were premiums for a rugged work horse like this. Equipped with 4WD and powered by the 4-cylinder 86 HP Turbo Diesel engine. This has All-Terrain tires that are in the real good 50-75% range and all are in great shape and look perfect for this all terrain truck as shown. This Defender was registered for the first time in 1990 and having checked the VIN, it was built in Solihull, UK in 1989. The F in the VIN confirms it is a 1989 model with its VIN 4XAMH76A35A618053. The prices on collectible and rare vehicles rise every year which is great as this classic will appreciate in value as you continue to enjoy it. Another plus is that there were only a handful of this Pick-Up version made. We took this in on trade for a farm tractor and the owner hated to let it go as he hoped to restore it some day. And comes with clean State of Tennessee title. The vehicle does have a few cosmetic issues which are shown in the photos and could be corrected at restoration. These cosmetic issues are shown in the photographs and are fine for using the Land Rover as it is now if you don't want to paint the exterior. From our tests and inspection, everything is in good mechanical and running order for its age. See above the detailed video showing it all operating, driving and looking real good. This truck has tremendous upside potential if restored right and possibly up to $50,000 to $60,000 or more at the right sale or with the right private collector. And even higher in future years.
This classic is located a hour south of Nashville, TN at friendly Lewisburg, Tennessee. We can assist with shipping on backhaul rates around .80 mile one-way if over 500 miles. Over 1,000 miles may be as little as .50 to .70 mile one-way or feel free to use uShip, etc.. Those rates are insured and on a trailer with ramps.
