1987 Land Rover Range Rover Range Rover Classic Description

This first year import of the legendary Range Rover Classic was purchased by Jimmy Buffett on 08/28/1987. It was originally registered to his Key West location and moved to Nashville at a later date (10/1994). The Carfax shows a new owner in 2002. I aquired this in 2008. The odometer was broken at 100K at the time of my acquisition. It was repaired and currently reads less than 108K. It has always run well and is reliable. Cosmetically it was in poor condition. The Cypress Green paint had been repainted poorly. Dents were present and evidence of very poor body work. The dealer installed ASC sunroof was a mess. The interior had been converted to a poor condition 1991 interior and headliner (none fitting properly). A 1987 doner vehicle was located. The Range Rover was stripped down to the bird cage. It was painted a correct matte black. A donor vehicle with a rare (1987 only) solid roof panel was located. The paint appears to be mostly original with some touch up or very very old repaint. It presents itself well with patina (dings/scratches/minor dents) and looks period correct and fitting to a vehicle of this age It is currently displayed inChamonixWhite (354) as shown in the photos. I still have most of the original body panels and an extra set of white body panels that I have started to refinish. The rare cloth seats were located from a 66k donor vehicle and installed. I also have a very good condition set of leather seats (not installed/spare).

This vehicle has been in its present state for the past 8 years. It has been kept inside or covered during my ownership. It has been driven regularly and properly maintained.
