1974 Land Rover SERIES III 109 -- Description

BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!! The Classic Car Gallery 2316 Fairfield Ave Bridgeport, Ct 06605 203-446-3477 1974 Land Rover Series III 109 “GALVANIZED STEEL FRAME, 5 year old restoration. Excellent running and driving truck!!” Chassis No. 91105667C The car on offer is this iconic 1974 Land Rover Series III “109” truck. This truck had more than $10,000 worth of restorative work done since 2014 at the same time it has been driven and enjoyed. The truck has a GALVANIZED STEEL FRAME.... The Sand Beige paint is excellent, with minor aluminum pitting around the truck (common on Rovers). The interior was renewed, including new seats and a recovered dash; it remains in excellent condition both front and rear. Door panels were replaced as needed and are in good condition as well. A NEW canvas soft top will be included with the purchase of the truck, and the truck has a galvanized steel hoop set. Correct Land Rover wheels where mounted along with new tires. In 2014 the suspension was rebuilt with new tie rods and shocks as well as a new fuel pump and fuel lines. The 2.25 liter engine has been tuned up, runs well, and starts “on the button”. The truck runs cool and the engine has good power and torque. The fully synchronized transmission shifts as it should, and the truck has a FAIRY overdrive installed. The overdrive allows the truck to cruise comfortably on the highway at 65 MPH. The Galvanized steel frame is in excellent condition. There are no issues with the aluminum body, but there is some pitting in the paint of the rear of the vehicle. All latches and hinges work as intended throughout, and all seals are pliable and fresh. The truck has been well maintained, in 2016 it received new brakes including drums, wheel cylinders and linings, new hoses, new radiator, new door tops and a new Weber carburetor conversion; the truck starts, stops and drives with authority. The truck has been well sorted, and is in “driver condition”; it needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner. Whether you are using it as a Sunday Beach cruiser, or an off road play toy, this Series III “109” is just the ticket!
