I have decided to sell my 1990 Rangie Classic here - This is an exceptionally nice rig as it has it is still very original with original paint/ interior / etc all in good condition. I have been driving this Rover for most of last year, and it is an exceptionally nice truck.
This is ready to be your overlander/ adventure/ camping rig for 2020 - I get compliments whenever I take this out.
279,400 miles and V8 gasoline engine and transmission still going strong. Rebuilt in the past, no paperwork here for rebuilds, however.
In the last year I have spent about $5000 on brand new tires, battery, suspension (springs/ shocks, water pump, ignition switch, brake light switch, fuel pump, fuel pump relays, window lift motors, ABS hose and various parts and more.
New springs and shocks this year (about 2200 miles ago, when tires were purchased) with tasteful and functional 2" lift to clear tires. H4 headlights.
Bluetooth/ hands free calling in vehicle. LED interior lights.
SUPER reliable, but gets pretty poor mileage, about 12-15 MPG.
I was planning on making it a turbo diesel with the land rover 300Tdi engine and matching 5 speed transmission, but I am not going to have time this year to do it. If the buyer would like it this way (5 speed, Tdi), I am open to building it up for you.
I want $7500 for the Rover the way it sits now, without the top-of-the-line Freespirit Recreation RTT roof top tent. I would want $9900 for it, with the tent, as pictured here.
Truck is in great condition and I take it on longer excursions ( Coast trips, Bend, Portland) when duty calls, but for the most part it has been sitting in my driveway the last few months.
I would not hesitate to drive this Rover anywhere right now. That being said, like all other used vehicles for sale here on ebay, there is no warranty on vehicle whatsoever. (Unless you elect to have me convert to Tdi turbo diesel, in which case my engines carry a 12 month warranty)
I need the money right now to finish other projects like my Toyota 4x4 Hiace diesel van, and VW Syncro Doka pick up truck. Check my other auctions for these, they are for sale, too.
I am open to *partial* trades for a few things : Concrete mixer / driveway work, metal building, SAAB 900 turbo 5 speed classic, VW Thing, Chevy/ GMC C10/C20 2W, Dodge Adventurer, SCAMP trailer, utility trailer, YETI and ARB camping stuff, Land Rovers, Jaguar XJ6 Series , land, Citroen D, CX, ID or maybe 2CV truck. Honda Element. VW Jetta or Passat Tdi wagon (diesel only!!) Older land rover projects. OLD motorcycles.
IF YOU WANT TO ASK ME IF I WANT TO TRADE FOR SOMETHING, SEND ME PHOTOS OF WHAT YOU HAVE.
IF YOU WANT TO COME SEE AND DRIVE THI, have cash in hand and be prepared to buy. I apologize, but I do not have time to entertain people who want to just come 'have a look' - If you do not have cash at the ready, please do not try to set up appointment to come and see truck.
I know Range Rover Classics, and this is an exceptionally nice unit. The only thing that prevents it from being 'perfect' are a loose headliner in places (can be replaced here, at your cost, a tiny bit of faded paint under the fuel fille, some cracked wood trim inside, and a tear in the drivers side seat along a seam - which is actually pulled stitching, not a tear.
The only mechanical problem that remains is that the 'PARK' awl does not engage in the transmission when put in park, which did not bother me, as the parking brake works great (You just need to remember to but in park when you get out!) As I always intended to change engine/ transmissio, this did not bother me at all.... but can be fixed, if you require, before truck leaves. 9124148993 to discuss!
Thank you for reading all this. I look forward to your calls with questions.
