1990 Land Rover Range Rover Classic 4x4 Blue
1990 Land Rover Range Rover Description
You are looking at a 1990 range rover classic, as you know these cars are going up in value and predicted to continue to rise in value over the coming years. Let me tell you about how long I have had the car before getting into the full details of the car. This car use to be someones family daily driver then after they got a new car it sat for about a year. I picked it up then because I was in need of a winter vehicle for my 40 min commute one way. The car treated me great over the winter without any issues but now it is time for me to part ways with this beauty. What drew me to the car was not only the classic 90s boxy SUV stylings but also the fact that the body on this car is very clean compared to many other Rover classics especially in it's price range very little rust. This car is by no means perfect it and could use a handful of small things done from sitting, but this car has a pretty clean body and is a great starting point for someone who wants to put in some elbow grease and have a car that will hold value. Though it could use some love it is 100% drive-able. Now let's get to the car....Body:- This car was repainted from red to what looks like factory Alaskan Blue. It seems like someone put some money into the paint as it seems to be good quality no runs or egg shell and pretty much every inch is painted but the engine bay. There are a few spots in the door jams where the paint has been rubbed off a little bit over years. The owner also added some white stripes which aren't my style but there they are. Clear is pealing a bit on drivers door and a little on the hood a wax and buff would make this car look amazing!- Very little dents I think there is one on the tail gate I haven't noticed any others. As far as scratches go there are a few here and there its a old vehicle nothing crazy but they are around.- has very little rust under side is very clean for it age rockers seem very clean- rear hatch is rust free very rare-some of the bumper corner covers could be mounted better, but one of them is new and fits nice.
Interior:- Interior is not bad drivers seat is cracked in spots as all of them get over the years. The rest of the seats are in pretty good shape all the power functions seem to work.- missing wood grain trim-dash is in pretty good shape-head liner is sagging- plastic around window buttons is loose
Mechanical:- the engine honestly seems pretty solid for how many miles it has sounds pretty healthy other then an exhaust leak- just put in all knew fluids and spark plugs and passenger front wheel bearings- AWD works well high and low- transmission shifts well- tires have a fair amount of wear rears could be replaced- passenger rear axle seal leaks a little only on hills- transfers case chain chatters a bit at idle because of age. The chain could be replaced (pretty easy to do). It won't let you sit the sound is just annoying at idle.- I would go over the suspension components at some point I didn't dive into them worked good for my daily drive
Electrical:- Over all most of the electrical seems to work well there are a few areas that could be looked at but nothing major.- all lights work- all windows work but the drivers- windshield fluid level light comes on randomly- radio works- heater works, but the fan is a bit loud on high
