1979 Land Rover Defender Pickup Description

1979 Land Rover Santana pickup convertible with 2 full metal tops, for up to 11 passengers. The car will come with 2 different tops for the following configurations:
- Standard pickup3 front seats inside metal cabin, open bed with troop-style seating for up to 8 in the back- Extended pickup with full length safari-style metal cover with 3 front seats and troop-style seating for up to 8in the back- Full convertible without the tops, 3 front seats and troop-style seating for up to 8in the back
Be careful if you carry passengers in the back, they are sitting sideways. This truck is a riot! The back seats are also easily removed if you need the bed for large loads (trips to Home-Depot, Hunting, Kayaks, Bicycles, Motorcycles).
- Freshly re-painted inside-out- Our family mechanic has gone through it and found it to be in excellent condition. We replaced the clutch for even more longevity.- The truck recently passed the ITV, an exhaustive safety and emissions compliance test required by the spanish government.- No rust whatsoever, it is coming from the land of Don Quijote. It just doesn't rain much in La Mancha- Cool original Vegglia-Bressel speedometer (see pictures)- Super tough normally aspirated diesel engine, 4 speed manual, low and high range mode selector, 2wd or 4wd selector.- No power windows, no power steering, no ABS, no air-bags, no power brakes, no chips or electronics...just the way I like it.- This truck will outlive all of us. Park it in the Sahara desert, comeback after a few years and it will fire up in seconds- Fun fact: It also runs on vegetable oil (like sunflower seed oil)...handy for Zombie Apocalypse and SHTF type of situations where there is no diesel fuel available, or for very remote areas where the nearest pump is further than the nearest farm.
The truck is currently in Madrid, Spain where I grew up. Upon full-payment by the buyer I will have it shipped to my home in Atlanta, Georgia via the port of Savannah, at my cost.
