Use: This was my daily driver during spring and summer months in Boston and on Martha's Vineyard. I have put 1,000 trouble free miles (26-28mpg) on this year since purchase; my 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon saw less than 150 miles of use this spring. I depend on my car for making 5-10 house calls per day, and this car was an absolute blast to drive and a hit with the clients. I checked and change all fluids regularly.
Condition: Fully restored per above, ZERO rust on chassis, outriggers, footwells, door bottoms, and bulkhead. Mechanically working 100%.-Given the more modern 300tdi and the front and rear disc brakes, the truck will run comfortably at 70mph. I have cruised at 85mph. That said, this was designed to be one step better than a farm tractor. Do not expect the ride of a Range Rover.
-DETAILS: I drive this truck, never off road but daily. The truck has not seen salt since restored 5 years ago, but it has seen rain, dusty and dirty spring roads, and is not a trailer queen for weekend shows only. Sure, you could make it perfect, but look at the photos - from 10 feet away, it is 100%. From 2 feet away, you see 5 years of gentle wear on the restoration with the some bubbling of paint in spots where the steel cappings touch the aluminum panels, over some of the heads of the aluminum rivets, surface rust on under body bolt heads, light scratches andnicks on the paint (Vineyard racing stripes as we call them from tight dirt roads and bushes). The white roof has same flaking of paint on the under side around the drain channels. If this were a 1993 NAS 110, it would be $125k+. Compared to every other imported 110 on ebay, with fancy paint covering rusty bulkheads and chassis, non-puma rust prone doors, no roll cage, boat anchors of engines (2.5 NA, 19j turbo diesel, 200tdi, 3.5l V8), rear drums, and a lot of hype, this truck has all of these ever missing features.
Reason for sale: I have a 1993 110 restoration project and a 1994 conversion project in the works, both of which I would like to complete over the winter for island work next summer. As such, I need to clear the plate and get to work.
PHOTOS: All sections photographed. Please request any additional pictures.
Title / Reg / Insurance: 100% legally imported vehicle 5 years ago; the truck has a clean title and is insurable for actual stated value.
