This SC might very well be the last remaining stock original 93 300 Manual Pearl white in the world!
This 300 is a true survivor! no modifications, all original paint, matching Factory stickers on all body panels with original interior and audio. I do firmly believe this very well could be the last 1993 Lexus Pearl white SC 5spd left in unmolested condition.
The attrition rate of vehicles which are 25 years and older is between 50% & 60%. using this math
#910 SC300 5spds produced minus a minimal 50% attrition rate = 455 remaining,
Lexus offered 7 colors for the 93SC300 model
455 remaining divided by 7 colors = 65 Pearl whites.
Only 65 Pearl white Lexus SC300 5 manuals left in existence. Out of the 65 how many are have original paint, are rust free and have no modifications.. This is why I firmly believe this is the Last of the Mohicans
This SC300 is going to be a collectors dream one day!
Due to being garaged and covered it's entire life, the paint is in Excellent condition..I would not say looks like new but it's very close! This car has never been wrecked or has it been in any accidents. Pictures DO NOT do the paint and exterior condition justice.. It's a sight to behold. All factory stickers on all panels..The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or tears..same goes for the headliner and rear seats.
I spied it under a cover in a car port..Having owned 5 SC and currently owning a 98 SC400 curiosity got the best of me and I peeked under the cover..When I saw it was a manual, I went and directly knocked on the door..At that time it was not for sale however, they kept my number and a few months later they called me informing me they would let it go..
My intention was to keep it totally stock and restore it to as close to show room condition as possible.
Unfortunately, I just don't have the time or energy to work with it, I was downsizing when I found this SC. Wish I had the time to work with it but it's just sitting and I would rather see it go to some one who will enjoy. Maybe some one see's what I see and would like to return it to showroom condition. Or some one could care less about nostalgia and want to turbo it, race it or do a 1997SC clone..
Here is a list of issues the SC has and what I have done,
213,114 current miles, new clutch just installed. Water pump timing belt service at 122,100
The climate control light was faded so I sent it out to Tanin electic, they did an awesome job in repairing the display.
The original stereo works as expected.
The lights in the gauge cluster have been replaced however, I am still attempting to repair the Tach/speedo/gas/and temp lights..
One of the gears in the driver seat rack was slipping so the entire rack was replaced and it work flawlessly.
Replaced the passenger window-regulator and plastic door hing
replaced the rear trunk shocks, replaced the power antenna, but its not functioning correctly.
The Cons
The leather on the driver seat has tears in the normal spots. I couldn't make the decision on whether to have a few of the leather panels replaced or do the entire seat, so I am leave that to the next owner.
The struts, tires and control arms need to be replaced, once again I felt it was best to leave these upgrades to the next owner as what I might think is best might not be.
Dent on Driver side front fender by drivers door..
A/C looses it's Freon, leaky seal behind glove box,
The tint needs to be replaced on the doors
I do believe this SC can be brought back to mint showroom condition. Once a car has been wrecked, severely neglected or abused it will never be factory fresh..This SC can be made to look like new once again..
If I has found this SC a few years back I would have never let it go..
Bid in confidence and Cheers to the Relentless pursuit of Perfection.... LEXUS!
