1940 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe Description
This 1940 Zephyr coupe is rust-free and in good overall condition. It appears to have been repainted once in its original color. There is no evidence of any repair welding or bodywork anywhere. The frame is straight and devoid of rust. The interior and carpeting were replaced by a prior owner, and are in excellent condition, done in the original style and color. Window glass is excellent and all handles and cranks work fine.
While the body and interior are in great condition, the engine is in need of overhaul. I suspect it has spun a main bearing, as oil pressure recently dropped to zero. I have purchased an identical engine, which comes with the car, just in case the original block is not rebuildable. This second engine will be shipped to the location of your choosing.
The car does not have the optional two-speed rear end. The transmission shifts smoothly. The tires are hard from sitting in storage for many years.
Increasingly hard to find in unmolested condition, this desirable 3-window coupe is an excellent example, ready to become a hotrod or kept original, as you wish.

Update #2: Odometer reads 10627. I have no way of knowing if that mean a little over 10k miles, or 110k miles. It is likely no more than the latter, because there just does not appear to be significant wear and tear on any of the mechanicals or anything underneath the car. It is quite clean and unmolested.
