1968 Lincoln Continental project 2 cars included Description

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE STORY BEFORE BIDDING......Here is my story on my babyI bought the car @2006 from Texas rust free!At the time it was flat black and very lowI rebuilt the trans few months later after slipping started to be a problemit is the 462 which is the largest engine availableI then sent the car to Bakers Auto in CT and had them fix some wiring, window operations, power steering pump with a new unit which is very expensive and did some odds and ends for about $4,200in @2007 I was forced to sell it due to a bad business I was in and needed money@late 2008 I contacted the buyer and he stated he was willing to sell it back to me since he knew I never wanted to sell it and so we made a deal so I could buy it backWhile he owned it he had some engine items rebuilt and redid the suspension to not be as low and better drivingI enjoyed the car for a few months then decided to have the car painted since I did not like the bad flat paint it hadCar was at the body shop nearly 3 years getting every single part of the car stripped, sanded, repaired and paintedAll chrome was removed, repaired and painted gloss blackThe entire gloss black is nearly flawless now except for some minor nicks after sitting last few yearsIf you have ever painted a big car like this black you know what the cost of just that is alone this was @$14,000!!!!!! now some areas of the country its more some less keep in mind we are right next to NY so cost are high and the car had to be right since we were going GLOSSWhile at the body shop I had the interior redone by Branch Brook In NJI went with white and black combo front and rear completely redone with door panels for $4,500Also while car was at body shop I decided to take the car back and have engine removed so they could paint the engine bay as wellWhile at the body shop I decided to buy some items to really make the car coolI bought a BC Fab full air ride kit with dual compressors and management system which has never been installed and is brand new included with sale. look up BC Fab they make awesome stuffok so @2013 I sent the car to a shop in lower NY to get all the parts I bought installed and do some other work to make sure its 100% road worthy. Here is were my awesome build takes a bad turnThe place I brought it to which I would never recommend at this point really took me for a ride....they had the car for about 2 yearsI wanted AC working again so they suggested Vintage air custom setup since they dont make one for this car. Ok well that ended up being almost $6,000! Everything is installed and custom firewall box made but the last wiring still needs to be doneWhile at the shop they said the engine seemed to have an issue so they said we should rebuild due to a crack in the wall. So I approved it and had them rebuild it for a cost of @$6,000 after they were done I went inspected the car running and ran very well however during all the time they had it they lost the engine harness and had the car running by jumping some wires to bypass it.At this point the interior was still apart and many other items still not completeThe shop out of nowhere was going out of business so I had to pickup the car then they reopened elsewhere LOL.Either way I gave them a total of more the 15k for everything they had doneWhen I got it back the car was apart in many areas it forced me to buy a donor car from MN so that I could complete my baby. I shipped that car over and now sadly I have no time with 2 kids, Mrs and a business. So my huge loss is your gain. I am not giving car away here is a list of everything that is new and I will list what I think it needs which for the most part is timeOk so the new items- completely painted- full BC Fab suspension i only took a few pics but it is complete $2,400 was more at the time I bought ithttp://www.bcfab.com/Complete-FBSS-Airbag-Suspension-Kit--64-69-Lincoln-Continental--LEVEL-3_p_1194.html- full front and rear seats fully done and mint condition- Dakota Digital Dash brand new in box with module- rebuilt motor- Rebuilt Transmission- new regulators- Complete parts car which turns over- almost all engine brackets powder coated gloss black with valve covers-new plugs, oil, thermostat, belts-engine painted black- new weather stripping still in package never installed- tons of extra parts- upgraded radiator- has 20 inch wheels which are in ok shape-Brand New windshield for the tune of $1,300 installed from lincoln Land in Florida- I have tons and tons of pictures printed of the car as the project went along
Now whats needed:- complete dash install- finish A/C install of wiring- engine wiring- dash wiring-new brakes I would assume from sitting- swap interior door panels from donor since other car had custom doors with window switches made on dash- will need radio setup- for the most part just labor consuming
Please please ask any question you likeYour welcome to email me and I will give you my numberPlease understand what has been put into the car and what it would cost and all the new parts included as wellthis car complete and done would easily be 25-35k if you check onlinethe donor car which is complete easily goes for 3-7kI am fair on what I am asking and keep in mind you get 2 carsThanks for looking at my long storyPlease note you will need to tow both carsIf you like make me an offer and please note if your offer is without anything I listed so I can consider itplease note vin i put in is to the donor car since dash is off on other oneTHANKS AGAIN HOPE SHE GOES TO A GOOD HOME SHE DESERVES IT
