1941 Lincoln Continental Description

No need to romance the 1941 Continental. It is on everyone's favorite classic car list and their history is well documented. Beyond that these pictures tell a story of elegance and gentle upbringing.
Well maintained over time...good provenance comes with the car. Even an Owner's Manual.
Expert restoration is now twenty years old. Still the Canyon Tan paint shines like new. The interior is a good color match and shows almost no wear. The carpeting looks fresh.
Luxury cars of the day competed with dash panels we now label "art deco". The 1941 panels were special with gold trim. Knobs may be a bit worn, but everything inside looks good.
The engine starts with a little encouragement, runs smoothly and moves the car out smartly. Factory overdrive works on both second and third. The historic V12 engine has about 8000 miles since rebuild.
A few symptoms of old age are a horn that can be fixed, a pneumatic antenna, and a 'push to start' button which is a little tricky.
These Continentals evolved from the legendary Lincoln Zephyr. They were built 1940 through 1948 with production interrupted by WWII. 1941 is the prized year with the conservative Zephyr grill. Later models had rather massive chrome grills.
This is a traditional seven day auction with a modest reserve reflecting today's interest. As owner I'm happy to discuss the car by phone 713 464 6717, or email.
