1968 Lincoln Continental 2 Door Coupe, Black, Survivor. "Pennsylvania" Edition
1968 Lincoln Continental Description
A rare triple black 1968 2 door Lincoln Continental Coupe Survivor! Almost completely original, with believed to be original mileage (odometer reads just over 82,000 miles). This car originated out of Pennsylvania which was the only state that did not allow any obstructions of the tail lenses. All other 49 states allowed Lincolns original design of the cross hatch bezels of the tail lights. Lincoln had to design a special tail light bezel to comply with Pennsylvania law.
Lincoln built just 9,415 two door coupes compared to 29,719 four door sedans for 1968. This car has about 90% original paint, and the interior is completely original except for the dash pad which seems too good to be original. The seats have normal wear for a 50 year old car, but are extremely comfortable and clean. All the glass is original to the car expect for the windshield and rare. The motor has never been rebuilt and runs great. I've spent over $15,000 since I bought the car on new suspension, exhaust, AC blows cold, and complete mechanical inspection of every moving part. Everything works except the radio and clock. Power everything! Power seats, power windows, and it all works! Lots of low points in the paint, chips, and cracks. This is what one would expect from a survivorcar that has been driven and 50 years old. The car runs really well is a blast to drive.
There is some minor surface rust on the passenger door hinges, the underneath is solid with no issues. The chrome is good overall with some small rust spots on the back underneath. some minor dings in the trim. This is what a call a nice time capsule survivorcar. I considered a repaint on the car but I am already into the car for nearly $35,0000 and it just a really nice driver survivorand believeit should stay this way. I am a motivatedseller as I just purchaseda new car and need room in my 2 car garage. I have several videos and pictures on request. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
