1978 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK V 67,000 MILES MOONROOF CARRIAGE TOP
1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V - Wedgewod Blue Luxury Option Group Description
You are looking at a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V with approximately 67,000 miles.
This car has been in the family since 1983.
It has spent the majority of its life in South Carolina, (mostly garaged).
This Lincoln gets attention like a rock star when on the road. The motor runs strong with no leaks, no smoking and no noises. Runs very smooth. The power windows, power locks, power trunk, power seats, lights and moonroof all work.
Even the factory clock still works with a nice sweep of the minute hand...keeps pretty good time too.
The car features four Firestone FR21 23575R15 tires with period correct 1 and 3/4" white walls which are approximately 1 year old.
Recent work done to the vehicle includes:
* New exhaust from the cat back with resonator.
* Four new tires. (Firestone FR21 23575R15)
* New battery.
* New radiator, hoses, and antifreeze.
* New front brake pads, rotors, wheel cylinders, and brake hoses.
* New rear brake pads and rotors.
* New fuel pump.
* New high pressure power steering line.
It is a solid car with solid floors, a solid trunk and solid frame.
The moonroof does not leak.
The trunk does not leak either.
The carriage top is soft and supple with no cracks, no rips and no tears.
All lights, signals, wipers, etc. work.
Original spare and jack.

Windows and full glass moonroof are subtly tinted light blue which was a factory option. This enhances the car's appearance especially when in the sun.
Wedgewood Blue Luxury option group, blue carriage top, blue interior, blue body side moulding and subtly light blue tinted windows.
The paint looks very respectable from a distance, however it does show some imperfections such as checking, minor scratches and blemishes.(I mention this for those who think they are buying a brand new car).However, in my opinion, they are minor.
If you have reasonable expectations, you will be happy with what you see.
The interior is in great shape, in beautiful and very original condition.
The dashboard is in great shape also, with no cracks either.
Rug in great shape as well.
Trunk compartment is in great shape as well.
It is a perfect car to drive just the way it is for as long as you want, or take it to the next level and make it a trailer queen. The choice is yours.
This car is definitely a solid investment. These luxurious classics keep appreciating in value as the years go on.
Please keep in mind you are bidding on a 39 year old vehicle. It would be impossible to describe every blemish, imperfection and weakness (both cosmetic and otherwise). This car is 39 years old, if your are looking for a perfect car, please do not bid. (Again, I mention this for those who are looking for perfection).
However, if you have reasonable expectations, then you will be happy with this vehicle.
Basically a very presentable nice classic Lincoln.
