1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car Description

One look at this long black 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car, and you know the boss has arrived. It's a well-preserved car with the best color combo, a loaded A/C interior, a big V8 under the hood, and an affordable price. It's good to be the boss.
Lincoln has always been a premium nameplate, but not all of them were created equal. The Town Car trim on the Continental was the range-topping package. This one is particularly striking with a gloss black finish neatly complemented by the full black vinyl roof in the correct valino grain. Concealed headlights, opera windows, and a Roll-Royce style grille give this an international luxury flair that lives up to the Continental name. And of course, there's the brightwork. It has all of its pieces complete from the big bumpers, to the turbine-style wheel covers, to the little guards over the parking lights. We all love the razor-sharp fender creases that are accented by the trim line running from parking light to taillight. It's true full-size artistry on wheels.
You might have noticed the brown pinstripe on the exterior, and we love how that's a hint to the saddle leather interior. This is original to the car, and since it has only averaged less than 1,200 miles annually, there has been little time to wear it in. Like a true '70s luxury machine, the pillow-top design is just as comfy as it looks. There are even armrests, front and rear, for true individual luxury. This one came straight from the factory with premium items like a power seat, power windows, and cruise control. And they all work exactly as it should in this well-preserved Town Car. But if you really want to understand the level of care that has gone into this Lincoln, just look at the dashboard. Beyond just the amazing condition of the wood paneling, this one still has its 8-track stereo in working order! In fact, there is one key modern piece that you won't see, but it can be felt. The air conditioning has been upgraded to cold-blowing R134a.
With a luxury car so well preserved inside and out, you better believe it has the original motor in the engine bay. Ford's 400 cubic-inch powerplant is related to the high performance Cleveland V8s that went into legendary muscle cars. But in this larger displacement, it was refined to deliver the necessary torque to move this large sedan in quiet comfort. This has been nicely maintained so it looks great and fires up on command. Plus, there has even been a recent investment in new tires, shocks, and muffler. While this is the perfect car for the drive-in (after all, its interior is more comfortable than any movie theater seat), there's much more to this sedan. It has power steering, front disc brakes, and a three-speed automatic transmission. This is the kind of luxury that can easily take you in comfort to car shows as far away as you want.
This is a terrific color package on an iconic classic, and best of all, it still has all the luxury features you'd want in a modern car. So don't miss out on this deal, call today!
