1974 Lincoln Continental Cartier Edition. 460 cu.in. Description
1974 Lincoln Mk IV.
Cartier Edition. Mostly original with 460 V8. The engine runs smoothly, the engine still has some paint stamp markings from the assembly-line. No visible leaks. Very original under the hood, the a/c compressor still has a Ford label. The interior is in very good original condition. The seats, carpets, headliner and door panels are still nice. the dash pad has a typical crack in the middle, the dash panel is in excellent condition.
All the electrical items work including all the gauges, warning lights, the clock, the radio and eight track, as does the power antenna. The power seats, power windows, power door locks work too. The headlights, wipers and even the courtesy lights work.
The body is straight and rock solid, a majority of the paint looks to be original. The frame and undercarriage is solid too. There are some bubbles on a fender and a few around the base of the vinyl top; they are are all cosmetic and on the surface. The chrome is original and nice, as is the vinyl top. The weather striping and tires are good.
Two main issues that the car has is that the transmission drives forward through the gears, but does not go into reverse. The air conditioning compressor is not working.
