1965 Lincoln Continental leather Description

Up for sale is my rare and very clean 1965 Lincoln Continental sedan. Perfect example of an original, rust-free California classic that’s never left the state. It still has the original matching set of black and gold 60’s California license plates. I am only the third registered owner of this Lincoln since new and it has always been very well cared for. Odometer reads just over 34k miles and I was assured by the previous family that it is original since it sat in storage for over 30 years. This beauty still drives like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Clean CA title in hand with current tags, registered to my name and ready to be transferred to the new owner. Get ready to turn heads everywhere behind the wheel of this amazing ride!

This Lincoln comes equipped with the original matching numbers 430ci big block engine and 3-speed automatic C-6 transmission that were both overhauled in 2016 and have less than 10k miles since the rebuild. It runs excellent and shifts smoothly into all gears. It has lots of power and picks up fairly quick for such a large car (320hp / 465 lb-ft) from factory. It’s probably boosting a bit more power now with a few upgrades like a Holley race carburetor, new dual Flowmaster exhaust, electronic ignition, and an Optima red top battery. It starts right up on first key turn no matter how cold it is or how long it’s been sitting. The suspension, power steering, and power brakes all work excellent and the car feels safe at any speed. No squeaks or rattles when driving and the power-train runs very smooth as any Lincoln should. I just had the brake power booster rebuilt and installed new front disc brakes as well. The interior was done last year and it included new high grain leather upholstery, perforated headliner with sun visors, dash detail, chrome trim polish, trunk upholstery and a custom made spare tire cover. Car was painted 2 years ago in a two-stage black coat that still looks very nice. As I mentioned before, it has all original rust-free sheet metal throughout including deck lid, floor pans, doors, and hood (these cars are notorious for rust issues). This Lincoln has never been in an accident either. Doors open and close with ease and line up perfectly. Original glass all around in great shape as well. All of the exterior chrome trim was removed and triple plated to look better than factory, over $4,000 spent on that job alone. The electrical is in great shape including all 6 power windows (rebuilt window motors and individual switches recently), exterior lights, turn signals, dash gauges, original AM radio, windshield wipers, power front bench seat, and horn. The only thing still left to do is rebuild the AC compressor so the air conditioning system blows ICE cold again. I removed it to have it rebuilt but never got around to it so I will include it with the car for the next owner to do. The original 65 Lincoln shop manual and dealership owner’s manual are included as well.

The Lincoln is available for inspection by any serious bidder during the course of this auction, just message me with your phone number and I will call you to set up an appointment. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. This is a NO RESERVE listing and the car will go to the highest bidder no matter what. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Thanks for viewing my listing :0)
