Description

1946 Lincoln V-12 Fastback Sedan
Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton
Located in PORTLAND, OREGON.
This 1946 Lincoln Model 66H V-12 Fastback received a full restoration some years ago and shows beautifully today. Stripped to bare metal and repainted in correct "Staffordshire Green." All chrome and trim was restored and replated to show quality. The interior was restored in correct tan wool broadcloth and is lovely. Restored dashboard and gauges. Optioned with factory AM radio, heater/defroster, fog lights, turn signals and spotlight.

Mechanically, this Lincoln is a standout. It was restored by a longtime Classic Car Club of America member with an eye toward touring, so everything was done to make it rock-solid and reliable. The original 305 cubic inch Lincoln V-12 engine was completely rebuilt. The only deviation from stock was the addition of a 3/4 racing camshaft, for better performance and power. This, in addition to the FACTORY OVERDRIVE transmission, makes it a FAST road car that easily keeps up with modern freeway traffic without stressing the engine. All other engine components were rebuilt, including: distributor, carburetor, starter, generator, radiator, water pumps, mechanical fuel pump (with an auxiliary electric fuel pump also added). The transmission, drivetrain, brakes and exhaust system were also rebuilt. Correct style wide whitewall bias-ply tires complete the package. Limited use since completion. LOTS of money was spent and the results show! Please see photos and video of the engine running.

This Fastback Sedan is one of Lincoln's rarer postwar body styles. Probably fewer of these have survived than 1946 Continentals. This is a large, comfortable and powerful car that's perfectly suited to long-distance touring, or an elegant night on the town. Whichever you choose, it will draw attention wherever you go.

Realistic reserve based on condition and rarity, this car could not be restored today to this level for the reserve price.
