This 1971 Lincoln Mark III was a gift as a Project. At the time I also had a 1969 Lincoln 4-door. A barn fire completely destroyed the '69 and wiped out most of the repair parts I had for this '71 Mark III. I never geared up to work on the car again.
We took it off the road in 2006. My kids and I have driven it around the farm until 2 years ago - as I was working out of town.
It has sat exactly where we parked it in the back yard.
Someone should restore this car. Even after the rust initially began, it was a head turner in traffic.
It was purchased from out of state on a bill of sale. To my knowledge a current title does not exist. However, in Georgia, any vehicle 10 years old can legally transfer on bill of sale.
