2-dr Lincoln Mark III, Sunroof, Power Doors/Windows/Seats, AM/FM Stereo Radio
1970 Lincoln Continental III Description
Condition: Vehicle ("Miss Katherine" as the original owner named her) was purchased in San Francisco, CA on 11/13/1969 from Redwood Lincoln-Mercury. Has never been driven in snow and was covered and garaged during inclement weather. There is some paint blemishing on the hood of the car due to age. There are two dents in the vehicle. One on the driver's side where the originals owner's wife whacked a fire hydrant while backing up with her door open and another on the passenger side where my dad swiped an organ that was in the storage bay. Vehicle has all original parts including original carburetor. We have original factory parts still in boxes from a closed Lincoln dealership that we purchased.
Features: This Lincoln has every feature that was available at the time of purchase. It is the original kelly green color with white vinyl roof. The trunk does not have the Continental badging and never did, as the numbers do match and the trunk has never needed any type of repair nor as the car ever been repainted. Vehicle still has the whitewall tires and all four original tire rims/hubcaps. Interior features include Air Conditioning, white leather seating, green carpeting, original floor mats with Lincoln badging, and walnut inlay on doors and dash that has been meticulously maintained with no drying or cracking. Also features power windows, doors, seats and power sunroof. Has original AM/FM radio which is fully operational as well as the original operating manual that came with purchase. Rear-wheel drive with V-8 engine and cruise control for those long trips. Included with this sale is a wiring diagram manual specifically for the 1970 Mark III.
History: Vehicle was purchased by original owner for his Irish wife (hence the less popular green color) in November 1969. Was then passed on to second owner who then sold it to my dad. All lineage is documented via photographs. It was in California until my dad moved at which time it was driven to car shows and garaged it in the winter. We have the original warranty registration form documenting the date of delivery as well as the original Ford Temporary OwnerCard, which also has date of delivery on it with a metal strip containing the VIN. Original keys including the "gold" lincoln key.
