Up for auction Is a extreamly rare 1965 Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson Standard wheelbaseLimousine ..This is the only one in the world!!.This car was special orderd by the Philadelphia Inquirer through the Fred Ryder Lincoln Mercury dealership in Wynnewood,Pennsylvania and was deliverd in April 16th of 1965.After Philadelphia Inquirer this car was owned by Harvey Schofield of the "LCOC".He was a Lehmann Peterson Collector and expert.The Lincoln Continental owners club “LCOC” Database says that out of the500 or soLehmann-Peterson limos built, Only 150 still exist.Only 8 were shorter than the standard 34in stretch,and 6 of those were 8 inch stretch limos.This is the Only Lehmann Petersonlimo ever built that from the outside appears to be a standard 1965 Lincoln Continental,And it is also the only one ever built without a vinyl top. The other Standard wheelbaseLimousine is in DublinIreland and itsnot for sale. I posted a paper printout from it.This car was custom orderd to be Low Key.This car was used by the Inquirer to transport High Profile members of politics and Numerous Stars.Rumor has it that Elvis Himself was Picked up at airport in this Limo..He also owned a streach Lehmann Peterson limoaswell as many other presidents and stars did.Now to the Car!!.This car runs perfect and drives with 1 finger.The 430 4barrel engine sounds great and dosent smoke or rattle.The tranny shifts smooth as silk.It has front and rear am/fm radio,and yes they both work.All the windows work as they should even the power vent window.Working Clock,Power antenn, All the electronics are in perfect working order down to the door ajar lightand gas light. it has Brand new tires.Original spare tire and jack!!The brakes will stop on a dime!All doors open and close the way they should.Car is very tight. The car hasfront and rear A/C .Air may need a charge, Compressor is working, but not cold.Car has a very clean under carriage.Car appears to be 100% rust free minus small bubbles on truck lid and maybe 2 small bubblesaroundfender well.from still having what mostly appears to be original paint .LikeI said car appears to still have original paint with the exception of some touch up..Paint is presentable,But if you wanted it to be perfect It would atleast need trunk painted.The interior has very little wear..Car has factory leather front seats with sliding Privacy Glass has original Wool Broadcloth rear Upholstry that is near perfect and dark blue rear Carpet. Yes this is the way it cam, I have documentation on that. It Has dual walnutfold out tables.All body panels appear to be original without any wrecks that im aware of.I have tons of paperwork to authenicate what this car is.I have all original brochures and keys.It has been in many Magizines.This Car is piece of history and should be preserved. It has always been in a heated and cooled garage .This is one of the rarest Limousines that you will ever see for sale, Except for JFK's of cours, But its 300k,,For how rare it is and also for who it was owned by.Bid with confidence.
