OVER 100 ADDITIONAL DETAILED PICTURES OF THIS VEHICLE ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST OVERVIEW The item currently for sale is of our own business partner's personal cars...a RARE 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible. This vehicle is what it means to be a classic car connoisseur...heads turning wherever you go and the ride is amazing! This Continental has been customized in several ways but maintains the subtleties of the classic look one appreciates in a 61 Lincoln. This vehicle boasts an almost flawless ebony black exterior, the very sought after black/white soft grain hide combo interior, its original but very well maintained 430cid chrome accented V8 and 3 speed automatic transmission. Total investment on this vehicle surpassed $100,000! This vehicle also comes with a free and clear State of Florida title. EXTERIOR For starters, the exterior of the vehicle is in near flawless condition. The finish on the car shows excellently well being ebony black and does wonders to the eye when mixed in with all that chrome. The car was painted several years ago for approximately $18K and the car is garage kept under its California Car Cover when not in use which has preserved the paintwork in its original condition. The chrome on the car is also nearly flawless. There are some minor nicks and scratches on some of the moldings which is normal on an almost 60 year old vehicle. Mechanically, the vehicle is supremely sound. The drive train has 66,500 original miles on it, has been meticulously maintained by our partner as well as the previous owner. The car was been lowered using RideTech suspension components, fitted with a 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit and it sits on a sick black powder coated set of 20" Dayton wire wheels on Diamond Back white walls! The diamond bullets on these wheels have been discontinued which makes these wheels even more valuable. The undercarriage of the vehicle is in great condition and all the suspension components are in proper working order. The rear shocks are air driven so you can raise the vehicle if loading up passengers. The convertible top is practically brand new. The top was done in canvas with the zippered down rear plastic window. The car's entire convertible top system was completely redone by Lincoln Land in Clearwater, Fl. INTERIOR As for the interior, phenomenal condition! The seats of the car were redone by my good friend Joe at Softside Trim here in South Miami and they came out superb. The car is very comfortable to sit in and drive with the soft hides and new cushioning...its no longer your usual old, hard sprung seat. They were redone in the sought after white black combo everyone looks for and they look outstanding combined with the ebony black exterior finish...the classic/modern eras merged with this car. Carpets are in great condition, the car was outfitted in brand new set of Lloyd Mats. Dash and instruments on the car work as they should...windows, seat and all electrical were gone through by Lincoln Land. It was part of a $36,000 restoration project to get the car in conditions to enjoy daily. The audio system is another aspect of the vehicle where no expense was spared. The lower door panels on all 4 corners were redone to fit $4,000 worth of German engineered speakers which combinedwith the 8" sub hidden in the spare tire spot in the trunk, gives you a first class audio experience. The car also has ice cold AC...fully functional for those hot days. To sum it up, everything looks and works great on this car! CONCLUSION In conclusion, this 1961 combines the essence of the 4th generation Continentals. Classy, yet modernly aggressive in every possible way, and definitely worthy of your consideration. We have all receipts and records for the work performed on the car for the buyer. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. WELCOME PROSPECT BUYERS! | o | |
