1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Description

This vehicle was purchased brand new by my grandfather in 1976, in the bay area of California. It was used as my grandparents primary vehicle for several years, and was parked in their garage.

My grandfather took great car of this vehicle, and he appreciated it. Unfortunately he passed and I was offered the vehicle, which I gladly accepted. I have fond memories from my childhood. I shipped to the vehicle out to my home in Colorado, where it has been garaged, and driven on occasion.

The vehicle is in excellent condition for its age. The vehicle is all original, original paint, with matching numbers. The only work that I have seen on it is new exhaust system. When I received the vehicle, I had to fix some very minor issues. The rag joint, master cylinder, and repair the speedometer cable.

There are no mechanical issues, the car drives like a champ. I love the suspension, you don’t feel any bumps in the road at all.

There is some minor rust around the trim where the body and the vinyl roof meet, and some damaged upholstery on the drivers side as you can see in the pictures. The headlight switch is missing its knob, and the AC needs to be charged. (All easily fixable). The dash lights do not light up when headlights are on, and the Cartier clock doesn't work.

All said, for a 40 year plus vehicle, there are only very minor issues as described above. This vehicle could be used as a daily driver if you wanted to, its in great shape. Included will be the original owners manual, a car cover, and mechanic books my grandfather left in the trunk.
