Exterior: *Condition #2.5
The exterior was recently repainted in original Powder Blue, in a 2 stage paint scheme. A few runs of clear coat plus some light scratches from trim installation prevent us from giving the exterior condition a #1 or #2 on our rating scale. The paint overall looks amazing. The chrome bumpers and door handles have been replated. Small blemishes appear on the rear bumper. Stainless trims have been removed and polished with only a few minor dings on 2-3 pieces. It also has an amazing fit and finish. The glass, and most rubbers are in excellent condition. All weatherstripping, with the exception of roofline, have been replaced. Back up and turn signal lenses are original lenses are in beautiful condition. Brake light lenses have been replaced with original FoMoCo casting reproduction pieces.
Interior: *Condition #2-#2.5
The interior on this Lincoln Continental had been redone in a beautiful Continental logo motif cloth with matching metallic leather. This interior scheme is original and unique to 1964 Lincoln Continentals and was purchased from SMS Auto Interiors (Canby, OR). Matching carpet was also installed in original cut pile. The color of the interior is Powder Blue pleated design bench seat. The Dash, Steering Wheel, Chrome, and headliner are in mint condition. Everything works in the car with the exception of the clock. It even has all of its original rubbers and weather stripping still in great condition. This is one of the finest examples of anoriginal interior that you'll find on a Lincoln.
Mechanically: *Condition #2.5 - #3
Mechanically this vehicle is in excellent condition with the original 430ci motor that has been rebuilt by previous owner. The car runs very nice and shifts tight. Transmission was recently inspected and given a clean bill of health. Suspension, both front and rear, were both rebuilt with new leaf springs, shocks (front and rear) and coils (front). Front suspension bushings, upper and lower ball joints, as well as upper and lower control arm bushings were all replaced. 1965 Lincoln Continental disc brakes were installed on the front wheels. This included brand new rotors, and rebuilt hubs (new bearings and races). New wheel studs were also installed as well as rebuilt Kelsey-Hayes 4 piston calipers. Porterfield racing brake pads were installed on the front and shoes on the rear drum brakes. Braided stainless steel hoses were used throughout. A hydraulic brake assist (Hydroboost) running of the rebuilt power steering pump was also installed on this car and it brakes better than a modern car. This car drives great and feels like it should.
Under Carriage: *Condition #3.5 - #4
The under carriage on this vehicle i has its original factory undercoating. The undercoating has peeled in a few places and showing the original floors. The Suspension looks nice and drives very tight. The Mufflers and resonators are brand new and the rest of the exhaust has also been replaced.
