1986 Lincoln Town Car Description

Here we have a very nice, very original 1986 Lincoln Town Car Cartier edition with only 53000 original miles. This car was purchased by a gentleman new, in Pennsylvania at Susmann Lincoln and later passed down to his brother and eventually to the brothers son so it is technically a one family owned car. The son did not use the car much at all in the last 8 to 10 years.
Most of the paint appears to be original and the interior is all original and In impeccable condition. There are a couple scratches on the hood and the usual door dings and chips you would expect with an older car but nothing that detracts from its beauty. Approximately five years ago he spent $1000 on various maintenance items and very little mileage was put on since. The car is very solid with no rust thru(rot) underneath or on the body. There is some usual surface rust underneath from sitting around. The Aluminum wheels also have some typical corrosion.
The car runs and drives great with just a little rough idle when cold. We had the car checked for any sensor issues and everything checked out good. I’m sure the more it’s driven and fresh gas starts going through the engine it will smooth out but there is no issue driving it the way it is. We did not charge the AC but there is a little pressure left in the system so it should work. The right rear power window and cassette player are nor working also. Everything else appears to work as it should including the power antenna and keyless entry system. The original spare tire has never been on the ground!
