1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stylish 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III. This gorgeous classic comes in a stunning red paint job complemented by a clean matching interior. Powering the Lincoln is believed to be the original 460 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Additionally, the miles on the vehicle are indeed believed to be the original miles. Features of the Lincoln include power steering, power front disc brakes, functional heat, stereo and more. The vehicle comes to us from a private automotive collection and as such has always been properly maintained and stored. Some of the more recent maintenance includes a new fuel pump, new hoses and new front brake pads, discs and calipers. The fourth-generation Lincoln Continental was styled by Ford design vice president Elwood Engel in mid-1958. It rode on a stretched version of the unibody platform produced for the 1961 Thunderbird. The first engine available was a 430 cu in (7.0 L) MEL V8 carried over from the Mark V. Later in 1966 the 430 was upgraded to a 462 cubic inch V8. All versions of the Continental were fitted with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The fourth-generation Lincoln Continental was offered solely as a four-door in either a sedan or a convertible. For the first time on a Lincoln since 1951, rear doors were rear-hinged (suicide doors) were standard.
