1979 Collectors Series - Excellent Original Condition Fixed Panel Glass Roof
1979 Lincoln Town Car Description
This car is in beautiful all original condition with the very rare fixed panel glass roof. Car has always been garage kept. This was originally a Canadian car so the speedometer is in km. The car has 43000 km on it which is about 26900 miles. All windows, door locks, stereo, antennae, clock, etc., work perfectly. The AC is still R12 and blows ice cold. The original leather owners manual and the leather tool kit are included with the car. The original window sticker and the purchase documents come with the car. This car idles smooth, the choke and fast idle work perfectly and It takes off from a stop with no hesitation, it shifts perfectly and is like driving a cloud down the freeway. She drives great and stops surprisingly well for such a large car. The car had the original tires on it until last year. They were't safe to drive on anymore so I replaced them with new Cooper whitewall tires that match the originals. The paint and the vinyl top are in excellent condition. The interior is in like new condition and shows little to no wear. The car was undercoated when new by the dealer with a Ziebart type protectant. All fluids are fresh and the car has had a recent tune up. I saved the original belts and hoses. I changed the Quadrasonic 8 track to a cassette player from a 1980 Lincoln. The original 8 track is in the trunk and works well. There are two small door dings on the car that could be removed by a pointless dent remover. i've not bothered because they're very minor.
