Custom Classic Lincoln Town Car Stretched Limo, Hot Rod / Rat Rod
1994 Lincoln Town Car Limo Description
Up for auction is a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Limo. Original conversion was done by Krystal Koach out of California. Let me start by saying that this is not a 94 limo that is wore to crap and is filled with DNA from the public. If you want a cheap limo that's on it's last leg and of this era then you will have to look elsewhere.
This Limo was stripped to a bare shell by me personally a year ago and completely redone. I wanted something different that was not out on the streets and made a statement when it went somewhere. That's how The Jack got started.
The bar was stripped to the metal and all of the 1994 vinyl was removed and tossed. I fleeced and resined it all from there. Spent a week sanding and priming, then painted it with white DuPont Base/Clear to give it the killer look it has now. Middle of the bar has a flat screen TV and there are two others mounted in the pillars as well as can be seen in the pictures. All of the dated mirroring was removed from the bar and replaced with black material to clean up the look. The rear deck had the same reworking and the Kenwood amp for the interior speakers was placed there as well. There are four Kenwood 3 way 6x9's on the interior and Two 12" JBL subs in the trunk with it's own high watt amp. Second battery and disconnect are in the trunk also. All lighting was removed and LED lighting was installed as was the skylight in the headliner. All Lighting is adjustable by color as well as brightness to fit your mood.
All carpeting was removed, the floor boards coated with POR15 then new carpeting installed. One of the biggest expenses was the seating. I pulled the seats and stripped them down. From there they were taken to an auto upholstery shop and were completely professionally redone with brand new material. I spent two grand on just the seats to get them looking as bad ass as they do now. Speaking of ass, the seats have seen hardly any of them since completed. This was my personal ride and has never been rented out. It was a project for me to have some fun with and we have used it maybe 20 times for some concerts and some casual outings. So as mentioned earlier this is not a roached out ride that has had all kinds of traffic in and out of it. You will NOT find another from this era as new as this one is or anything short of brand new as clean inside.
I wanted a custom rat rod/hot rod look out of this build and wanted a balance of class as well as style. As is usual for these the OEM air suspension was blown to bits and inoperable. I pulled all that garbage out and replaced all the suspension with standard coil springs and shocks with an aftermarket commercially available conversion. This also gave me the chance to boost the back up proper for the wheels I wanted to use. Those are Cragars and are matched to proper rubber. This thing cruises down the road nice and smooth, and gets lots of attention. Its the perfect vehicle for your local cruise in as well as a Wedding or Anniversary. We used it this year to attend the black tie charity event at the Detroit Auto Show and got all kinds of compliments when we got there. It stood out a hell of a lot more then the generic wanna be rich folk rentals that were there. Style, class, and grit. The Jack has it all.
Paint was done by me too, it is Dark Smoke Metallic by SEM and is a matte finish as it was designed to be. This is not a cheap ass plastidip or vinyl wrap job. It's been professionally prepped and sprayed to look good for many years. If you want a gloss finish it can be clear coated to provide that at any point. This is a very professional quality paint job. This is not a plastidip or any other conglomeration of craziness people are doing to short change a proper paint scheme. Its done right, and was done well. The metallic is even and flowed well. It was sprayed in the proper facility with several solid coats and then a proper drop coat to get accurate balanced coverage.
The vinyl top was removed, and all associated fastening was stripped, welded and filled. My intention was to cover the top similar to the mid 50's rag tops and make all the snaps out of .45 shells or 50 caliber artillery shells. I've been on the look out for that stuff still so for the time being it's covered it with a carbon fiber calendared vinyl.
Engine and trans are OEM stock, they have roughly150k on them and are in good running order. This may go up since we are going to be using it this weekend for a concert again. Air Conditioning and heat work well front and back. All glass including side glass was removed from the car when it was painted. Windshield is new and all seals and gaskets on the side glass are new. All chrome was prepped and painted with black paint for the proper accents. Stainless on the lower half of the car was dusted with 2000 grit on a DA sander to kill the high gloss and give it a brushed finish. Mufflers were removed and replaced with glass packs. That initially sounds a little nuts, but with the length of the pipes and the cats in place from the engine to the rear of the exhaust it actually has a really cool mellow hot rod rumble similar to a flowmaster on an average car. Mitered exhaust tips were installed and clocked at a 45* angle to give it a cool edge from the rear.
OEM rims and tires are included in the sale if the new owner wants them for winter use.
I could go on and on with what was done on this thing, serious buyers are urged to check it out in person if able or to contact me by phone to go over any details you may need that I might have missed here.
Worth noting is that this is registered as a plain old Lincoln Town Car so there are no insurance issues or DOT inspections to be concerned with. It's been used personally and unlike a lot of other vehicles like this can be registered as a personal car if the owner wants to.
I can work with the buyer on coordinating pick up. Flights in would be to DTW which is Detroit Metro Airport, and I can pick you up from the terminal. I would entertain delivering it also for a fair price depending on distance. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere although time off of work to drive cross country is not in the books for me unfortunately.
Contact me with questions, to determine options on pick up, or to set up a time to check this out in person if your able.
Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding!
** Note** Limo is listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to close the auction if it sells locally before auctions end.
