1960 Lotus Elite Series 1, very rare Maximar bodied LHD, "very few (perhaps only one or two) built" as described by noted Lotus author and historian Dennis Ortenburger in his book "the Lotus Elite"(copyright 1990). Also documented by Club Elite as series 1 Left Hand Drive in 1979. Older restoration, runs and drives well, with 12,000 miles on odometer. Very little use since restoration. Engine has new timing gears, rings and bearings, as well as Derrington twin carburetor setup with tubular four branch header. New Made in England stainless steel exhaust system Made in England Monza fuel cap, and brake and clutch master cylinders. Supplied with Lotus certificate of provenance and clear Florida title in seller's name. Engine is original numbers matching Coventry Climax as supplied by factory.
