1986 Maserati BiTurbo Spyder. Silver Gray metallic on tan leather with suede inserts throughout. This BiTurbo Spyder has only covered 35,000 miles between two owners. The original owner purchased the Spyder for his wife to drive between the country club and home. This individual was also the proprietor of the local Maserati dealer in the 1980s. The second owner purchased the car in 2006. This Spyder has seen light Summer use over its 30 years in existence. It is like a time capsule, has all the tools, original clock, radio, shop manuals, original owner’s manual with leather folio, etc . . .
Highlights: Extremely comfortable seats, spacious interior, tons of torque especially when the turbos kicks in, large trunk easily fits golf clubs, great looking unique car, magnificent dash with birdseye maple and mahogany inlay, suede, leather, new battery, always garage stored, gently driven, no winters, no rust. The typical fuse panel issue was corrected in 2013 and the car runs beautifully.
Flaws: Three small dings (1.5 inch) in the lower driver’s door panel. The top has two small holes. The holes are right where the top frame folds the canvas and is typical for this model. Since the Spyder is not used in the rain, this has not been addressed. The ash tray retractable roll top cover broke, therefore it is just left open.
