1983 Mazda RX-7 GS Description

Very happy to present an extremely clean, rust free, and unmolested original 1983 Mazda RX-7 GS.

This car was in garage storage with the original owner for over 30 years, and has just under 31,000 "original" miles. The second owner purchased the car just over two years ago. Since that time he spent over $4000 replacing everything that needed attention due to age. (receipts included) Sparred no expense since he wanted a perfect RX-7 to add to his collection, and wanted to relive his younger years and love of his RX-7's he owned back in the 80's. Sadly enough after all that effort and money spent he was forced to sell due to space issues, and only had time to drive it approx. 1,500 miles after all the effort & money spent. Basically he performed an out of storage restoration, it now looks, performs and feels like how it must have just off the showroom floor, back in 1983.

Here is a list of what has been replaced less then 1,500 miles ago: Most rubber suspension components, belts, hoses, KYB shocks and struts, brake master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, radiator, all filters, all 4 tires plus refinished the wheels, and of course all fluids plus door rubber, various trim, Wipers and more... You will be hard pressed to find even the smallest flaw on this 35 year old vehicle.Basically, this is a 10 out of 10.

This car does not leak a drop and drives beautifully! You can feel confident driving this car anywhere. Fans of this original generation RX7 will know that the 1983 has the 12A engine which produced 106hp, along with a smooth shifting 5 speed transmission, plenty for the car’s 2500lb weight. Many feel that the 1983 also has a sportier and more mechanical feel inside than later, more plush 1984 and 85’s. And while many surviving RX7’s have been modified, this one has not at all, everything has been retained to original spec.

This car retains its original push button AM/FM Cassette, has power mirrors, excellent Interior & Exterior. Car was not ordered with air conditioning so it was kept stock. This is a true collector vehicle with maybe the nicest color combo out there. Look around and I'm sure you will also agree. Others with comparable low miles are often selling for around $20k and are clearly not restored like this one, nor as original. Pictures just do not do this vehicle justice.

You won’t be disappointed with this car and how it drives, I assure you! Car easily passed a recent and thorough California smog check.Current CA tags till September 2018.
