1993 Mazda RX-7 Description
I have a 1993 Mazda RX7 that I am ready to either sale or trade. I've owned nearly 25 RX7s over the past 30 years. I've owned this one for a little over 2 years. I have a clean, clear title for the car. The car has been in Texas since new. I currently have another FD (9K miles bone stock) and am getting ready to purchase another one. I need to move this one on to it's next owner. I would like for it to go to someone that is going to enjoy it. It started out as a project car but is getting very close to being complete.
The car needs to be painted. It has some cracking and fading in the paint along with some dings (it was hit by hail but it's not that bad. The dings will not show up in the pictures. (The car is scheduled to have the dings removed and the paint touched up next week. (1-2-18). The price will not change
The headlight lids are new. They need a little adjustment to fit perfect.
The car is currently at Rotary Performance being tuned. Chris finished the tuning on the car on 12-22. The dyno sheet is attached. The car is still running on stock twins and the stock fuel system. I am very happy with the power the car is making. There's a lot more power to be made with an upgraded fuel system and then even more power with a single turbo.
The car has a full 8 point custom welded cage in the car. (Minimum of $5K to install now). The cage does not interfere with the doors opening and closing. I've had a 6' 1" person sit in the car. I think any taller and it will be difficult.
The car currently has about 118K miles on the body. The motor was replaced prior to me buying the car. I do not know how many miles are on the motor. I have driven the car less than 5 miles in 2 years... A compression test was done on the motor on 12/3, 12/5 and then again on 12/22. The first test was done using a piston compression tester. The result displayed right at 90PSI on both the front and rear rotors. The other tests were done by Rotary Performance. This tests were done using their rotary compression tester. The latest results came back as low 6's on the front rotor and high 6's to low 7's on the rear rotor. The compression numbers have improved from the first test to the the latest test and I think it will come up even more after some spirited driving. The car starts easily and drives without issues. The car does not smoke.
The cluster was replaced and currently shows a little over 61K miles on it.
The car has around $10K in parts that have been installed or that go with the car. (That doesn't include the the cage.) Here's a list of the parts: 99 spec front strut bar, RX7.com toe links, Tein Coilovers with EDFC, FJO air fuel system, Apexi Power FC ECU with hand held controller, MoMo Steering wheel with quick release, Autometer ProComp gauges (Boost, Fuel Pressure, Water Temp, Oil Pressure), Triple center Gauge pod, Greddy BOV, Fluidyne Radiator V Mounted, XS V mounted intercooler, Greddy Elbow, Polished intercooler pipes, C's Short shifter (very rare), Greddy Exhaust, RB Lite Weight Flywheel, ACT Clutch, Apexi dual filters for the stock twins, Mocal dual Oil coolers, JVC radio with BT.
***The black with polished lip wheels in some of the picture are not the wheels that will be included with the car. After testing the wheels they do not fit correctly. The car will come on 18" OZ Racing Wheels. The OZ wheels are pictured in the image where the car is on the lift.
Interior includes black seats covered in new black leather, new cluster hood and cover, new clear bezel, new defrost vents, new AC surround plastic, new shift boot and newcenter console plastic.
All the front interior that can be installed has been installed. The rear 1/4 panels and rear middle divider have been installed (the middle divider had to be trimmed to fit around the cage...it looks good). Rear bins cannot be installed with the cage (unless they are modified). Rear bins are not included. The visors, front passenger lower 1/4 panels are included but can not be installed with the cage. The rear hatch privacy cover and rear carpet will be installed in the car shortly (orincluded in the sale.)
The price is OBO and I am also interested in trades.
