1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Turbo - Tastefully Modified: Street or Track Ready Description
She has been with me for the last 15 years, I have had the pleasure of taking this car from being your timid but fun stock Miata to the beast which asks to be fed fuel and the blood of Mustangs.
A Turboed Miata is very easy to explain, it just feels right, it retains the characteristics and predictability of the stock form, but with the much needed amplified performance. The additional power does not feel foreign to the car, if anything it feels very designed. To be honest it is one of the funnest cars that i have driven, it is responsive in both handling and throttle.
On the street this Miata is fun to drive, the lightened fly wheel and aggressive clutch takes some getting used to, but is manageable as a daily driver. The grip on the clutch is awesome you can go from a conservative start at one light to chirping tires all the way to 3rd gear if that is your desire.
The stance on this car is high enough where you are not bottoming out and scraping the spoiler at every curb cut or speedbump. The suspension retains it's stock height and is stiff enough for Auto-Cross.
For under 10k there is very little you can ask for. It is a car which appeals to not only the Miata purists, but any aficionado or enthusiast of motor sports. As she starts you will notice the tasteful purring of the exhaust note and the suction of the turbo once boost is being created, you will hear the sound of air rushing past your ears and the blow off at your shift.
There is over 13k into this car, it has been well maintained and serviced since i have owned it. With the recent upgrades regarding the Turbo Installation oil has been changed to Royal Purple. The car has a brand new battery as well. I replaced stuff on this car way before anything went wrong just because I loved it so much and had the means to do it.
Now, that all being said, please keep in mind this is a nearly 26 year old car, and it does have a couple things that are not perfect. I recommend whoever buys this car be mechanically inclined, because with all this custom work done, you're going to pay a lot of money to a performance shop to dig through this custom work and diagnose an issue if down the line something does mess up and you have zero mechanical experience.
I've had the car painted in 2013 to Porsche Guards Red, this color really pops. you will notice whey you park this car it tends to draw a crowd.Be prepared to meet and have lots of conversations with total strangers in traffic, at the gas pump, parking, etc.
All the mods on this car have less than 1.5k miles on them.

Upgraded Power-Train:
* 1.6L engine with 157k, (Timing Belt, Water Pump, Gaskets, Clutch, Flywheel, ECU, Turbo all installed less than 1000 miles ago).* T-25 Turbo kit with Intercooler, RX-8 high-flow injectors, Walbro high-flow fuel pump* ECU: Megasquirt II unit. Currently the car is running a street tune with fuel/spark cut at 13 psi.I know it's supposedly by far the best ECU for Miatas that you can get, the tune is very conservative and if dyno tuned will free up alot of horses.She is running approximately 225hp (think M3 or Mustang GT fast).* ACT Stage 3 6-Puck Clutch with new slave and master cylinder and throw-out bearing.* 9.5 Pound Flywheel* Racing Beat 2.5" Exhaust Cat-Back. Upgraded Cooling:
*OEM Radiator and high flow fan, Intercooler was mounted infront of the Radiator with custom mounts (solid). All piping to intercooler we performed with custom bends to clear.

*Blaupunkt 6.2" Touchscreen Head Unit, All Speakers including Head Rest Speakers are Pioneer with Tweeters. Sounds awesome, even with top down on highway.
