NO RESERVE 1980 Mazda RX-7 GS Coupe 2-Door Black/Black LOW MILEAGE, NO RESERVE
1980 Mazda RX-7 Description
This was originally a 1-owner "old lady-owned" California car. I purchased the car from the original owner about four years ago from Southern California, where it had spent its entire life. The car is super straight but the original paint is a bit tired (hot southern California sun) with small rust spots on the hood. The interior is gorgeous. I reupholstered both seats about two years ago.
In addition to the new seat upholstery, other new replaced items include gas struts for rear hatch x2 (Nov. 2015); inner door handle cups x2 (Nov. 2015); floor mats x2 (Nov. 2015); radiator and heater hoses x4 (Nov. 2015); brake master cylinder (Feb. 2016); heater blower motor (Mar. 2016); new battery (Oct. 2016); ignition switch (Aug 2019); fuel filter (Aug 2019), etc.
I'm selling the car because I have other cars and they're just not getting enough use. This one in particular I see I've put less than 1k miles on since I purchased it…so it's time to move on. Some maintenance issues have crept up that I'm not interested in addressing but will be projects for the next owner. These issues include the typical rotary oil leak, A/C and radio blow a fuse when trying to turn on, the passenger side mirror snapped off (still have it), rear defogger isn't working, and the right-rear brake cylinder has a leak. The car runs but with the brake leak it's not currently safe to drive so purchaser will have to have the car transported/towed.
If you're in the area (Long Island, NY) and would like to see the car pre-purchase, it's currently at my mechanic's shop and we can schedule a showing. Otherwise, send over any questions you have and I'll be happy to answer them.
Purchase includes original Window Sticker, owner's manual and misc. sales pamphlets. And, of course, a clean NY Title.
