600sl with Optional Hard TopThis 600sl is a great car to own. I am the 3rd owner. First was a police detective, second owner was a UNR football player that bought it for his mom, and I am the third owner. The original mileage on the car is 69,990Engine was replaced at the Mercedes dealership in 2002 at a cost of roughly $20,000 for the new engine and $20,000 more install and other parts and upgrades. I have all of the original receipts. Super strong engine - not even broken in yet at 29,000 miles.The car is in great condition but due to the vintage and a dry Nevada climate there are a few cosmetic things that need to be fixed. The visor mirrors broke at the hinge, the air vent cover on the passenger side should be replaced, the door panels need to be clipped in with the proper clips. There is a rip on the left side driver seat back rest. The emblems show signs of wear.Power everything and it all works properly.The soft top is like a dream!! It was dusty in the pictures but it looks like it was never even used. Push a button and the top hoes up or down and locks into place. One button, I was so impressed I wanted to keep the car! But I have to sell unfortunately. This is the original paint, needs to be buffed out but in really nice condition.
