1984 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Description

This is my personal car and it has been a joy to own. This Mercedes is in great shape always garaged and well kept, never winter driven. Both the soft and hard tops are very nice. Hard top comes complete with a storage Stand as well as a cover.1984 was a good year for the 380sl as it came from the factory with the double roller timing chain. This solved the issues that the single row chain cars had in earlier 380 model. The 3.8 liter V8 really is a great engine and works well with the car. Much better fuel mileage than a 560 or 450 model.
The undercarriage of this car is extremely clean. Jack holes are perfect and it's obvious the car has never been driven in poor weatherThe paint is not perfect but again extremely nice. It shows very well and looks great with the dark blue interior.
The interior is again in great shape and is original. Shows very well again and has been well cared for.
Very thing works on the car including the AC which has been converted to modern refrigerant for easier maintenance and lower costs in future repairs.
Recent repairs Include, fuel pressure accumulator, stereo replacement with modern Blaupunkt, OV Relay, rear anti sway bar links.
Certainly many more repairs and maintenance have been done over the years with some records and early maintenance stamps being available. I do not have a complete history of the car but it is clear the car has been maintained. We purchased the car from friends, it belonged to there parents who used it at there winter one in Florida for many years during there retirement.
A great R107 in my opinion for someone who wants to enjoy it.
