A European (imported from Germany) 380SL Model; this car is a unique 380SL that was imported to the USA from Germany by its owner in 1982. It has the small bumpers, the instrumentation in German, speedometer in kilometers its original Becker 610 in German script. It has the suspension similar to the later 560SL as installed at the factory and wasn’t yet available on the US market cars. It has the Euro 3.8L engine with duel timing chains and Euro Cams that offer abut 50-75 more HP then it’s US counterpart. The car runs the way it was originally designed to run, NO US emissions/smog regulations to slow it down. You can feel the difference in the acceleration and the handling. It also has the provisions for the headlight wiper and washer system that accompanied the car before it was converted to USA DOT headlights (AKA-Round headlight from the European square) it has the battery in the engine compartment verses the rear. As far as I can tell the only US modification made to the care are the US-DOT headlights. Clean, original, unmolested car: I purchased this car from the owner, who was selling it because he was moving back to his home land. The car has always been looked after by professional Mercedes mechanics, and has been garaged and well cared for its entire life. The latest maintenance to the car includes: All Fluids changed (brake, antifreeze, transmission, and differential). New 4-wheel brakes and rotors, new battery, water pump & hoses, 4-new tires. Idles smooth, accelerates without hesitation, shifting with ease through every gear. The AC was retrofitted to the new R134a refrigerant. This 380SL has the duel row timing chain. The paint is very nice clean, shiny and mostly original and the body is rust and dent free. The Chrome and trim is nice shinny and fully intact. The exterior color is red with a light Palomino/Saddle interior. The interior is in very good condition, the wood is in good condition. The dash is crack free. The Heat and A/C work very well, as do all the mechanicals on the car. The brown soft top is in very good condition the windows are clear and crack free. The sound system is an upgraded CD radio and it works perfectly (I have the original German Becker 610 configured with German Script). Car still has the original working electric antenna. The trunk is equally clean, no blemishes on the carpets or the trim, no stains or smells. The spare tire is in the trunk and appears to be the original. Car also has the original color matching hardtop in great shape.

Car has original owner’s manuals, factory literature for the options, some of the original hang tags it would have on it in the dealer showroom, warranty booklets. Car is registered in my name with Clean NJ title.
