1994 Mercedes Benz E500
1994 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series Description
If you are reading this you probably know that this limited edition Mercedes E500 is the result of a close collaboration with Porsche that entailed the transportation of the approximately U.S. bound 1,500 vehicles (of a total world production of 10,479 units) between the Mercedes and Porsche plants in a hand built process, taking 18 days to complete each vehicle. This was at a time before Mercedes had its AMG division and needed a sportier sedan to compete with the BMW M5. This W124 chassis model was only built between 1992 and 1994, of which the 1994 edition was renamed to E500, and was the only one that came with these new E-range changes of that year: updated headlights, grille and trunk, improved Becker sound system, and the upgraded braking system from the 600 SL of that year. As such, the 1994 model is the most desirable of the high performance E500 range. The car for sale here is part of a small Porsche collection. It is in Pearl Black with gray leather interiors, and only 59,200 miles. It has sunroof, electric rear window sunshade, Recaro bucket seats, wood console, Becker stereo with 5-CD changer, original safety kit, tool roll, original spare, 2 set of keys and all its books and manuals. These young classic Mercedes, with their aggressive styling, enhanced fenders, powerful engine (325HP), side skirts and lower ride are becoming very hard to find with reasonable mileage. The paint of this E500 is in excellent condition with no dings, dents or scratches. Its interiors have been well maintained and are also in excellent condition. It has a detailed engine bay. None of the wheels show any curbside rash or scratches. Its Dunlops have less than 2,000 miles on them. Everything works as it should, including the clock, in this garage kept and show quality E500. It is a joy to drive, it is fast, quiet, comfortable and it would still feel at ease in the Autobahn. This vehicle is sold in order to allow more space for my 911 collection. This E500 was originally acquired by Seller from a U.S dealership and is currently located in Puerto Rico, USA (zip code 00927). Seller will help in arranging transportation and is willing to bear the cost of shipping the car to Jacksonville, Florida if the reserve price is met. A pre purchase inspection is available through the official Mercedes Benz local dealership, at the expense of the requesting party. This car will also be offered for sale locally and seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time. For questions you may contact : J.
