1984 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 280E Description

VIN # WDB1230331A168296 This Car was not offered in the USA in the 80's. Car Came from a rust free state TEXAS. One person owned it, was imported to States in 85 Brand New. 12V Inline 6 Motor. 4 speed Manual transmission No rust all undercarriage clean and original. rebuilt Transmission new clutch. New shocks all around, New tires and A set of 70's Centra Rims 15", rebuilt Fuel Distributor and Injectors. New Fuel pump, New fuel Strainer and Filters. New wires rotor cap and plugs, Whole interior replaced Was velour and ripped. AC has been cleaned oiled and filled, blows very Cold. Recent Brakes, Good OEM Exhaust with New Tips. Car just went through a 5000$ restoration. Everything was painted but the roof. Car had no rust but Had dings around from people bumping doors into it. I have pictures before work was started and during. New center console molding, New Floor mats OEM, Replaced Steering wheel, New Steering Gear, New Windshield, New Grill, New Oxygen sensor, New hood pad, New windshield washer motor, New sunroof gasket, Spare belts and brake pads in trunk. Car is show car worthy. I also Have a set of original rims if interested. Here are some photos of Before Restoration There was rust in one spot on both sides . Those were the only rust spots on the car and those have been taken care of professionally. Evrything is Sealed off using a good quality seam sealer The car is being taken apart and checked for spots to repair. Car was in good shape but I wanted to make sure there was no problems for years to come and so I Ended up painting almost the whole car. Car is further taken apart and sanded down. All the seems under the hood were refinished. Engine bay was degreased and sanded down. New Rock Guard was applied on the bottom under the front bumper. Glass was removed at this point as it had chips and its easier to paint without one. Hood and trunk was painted seperate to give great acces to trunk seal and engine compartment. Notice the original Rocker panels I never saw such a clean car. No rust even on the jack points.
