I have a 1992, 5 cylinder 2.5 l 300Dturbocharged diesel to sell. I was the mechanic on this car, I got it started, blead the brakes and it was rollin. It has like new seats, door panels, and dash. I'll pull it out and get more photos,(battery low)the guy wasn't home at the time so I only got a few. Don't know the exact mileage. The fuel pump was leaking so I got the $150 gasket kit and replaced the cover gasket and it stopped for me, he says once and a while it still leaks (only when parked?)somewhere minor, but rather than stuff the news paper to find this smaller additional one, I figured I'd simply let the next owner deal with it. It's titled, runs and shifts well, if it were mine i'd tighten up the brakes slightly but they have so much junk associated with newer cars that it's tough to know just where to start. You can make an appointment to see the car in person or perhaps I can video it running and send it if you prefer. The rpm gauge does not work, probably thesender at the generator, I worked on the a/c last summer, the pressure readings brought me to a valve behind the glove box needed attention, i'm not that good with new cars and he didn't want to follow up at the dealer with it so there is that. I think everything else works proper. (The real good thing is that this car has no computer, once 96 came around that was theweak link with these cars and itonly got worse asthe yearswent on.)Occasionally it would have to be turned offmanually, I found a vacuum leak(cut back the hose)and that seemed to do it. I replaced the hood lever inside the car, he broke that and was using a vice grip to open the hood, I shored up the mechanics one the second one to prevent a similar occurance. Email if any questions. I'll keep relisting it and possibly stick it out by the street to get some foot traffic if needed. |
