Mercedes Benz 300TD Wagon Diesel
1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description
I'm relisting this car because of non-payment by winning bidder of the last auction. Please don't bid on this car unless you plan on buying it and please call or email me if you have any questions. Thank You!!
This car has been my daily driver for the last three years. It has been extremely reliable and I've had a good amount of preventative maintenance/ rebuilding done. Will easily go another 170,000 miles.
- New rear suspension- New rear left CV Axle
- New motor mounts
- New rotors and front breaks
- New rear breaks and calipers
- New shift rod clips and bushings
- New glow plugs
- New Battery - January 2014
- New air filter housing bracket
- New drivers side door latch
- New AC compressor
- 4 new tires 6,000 miles ago
- Fluids changed every 3 months
- 25 miles to the gallon- New paint one year ago
- The seats have some cracks and tears in the upholstery
- There is minor surface rust on the bottom of two doors and on both rear quarter panels near wheel well (shown in pictures)
- The front passenger window does not roll down (I'm 99% sure the wire in the door split and simply needs to be reattached but I haven't had time to check)
- The audio on the radio cuts in and out
- The A/C will blow a fuse once in a while.- I disconnected the antennae motor because it wouldn't stop running- Front left turn signal tabs are broken so it just kind of hangs in place (shown in pictures)- Rear right reverse light missing cover and doesn't work. Left reverse light works.
- This does NOT have the original hydraulic suspension installed. When I bought the car the rear suspension was sagging all the way to the ground. Instead of diagnosing the problem I replaced the rear suspension with an SLS Conversion Kit I found online.I have the original Hydraulic shocks and pump that I will include with the car when you buy it.
This car runs great and has never let me down or stranded. I've posted a video below of the car during a cold start and then high idle to show you that it doesn't smoke or shudder. The clicking sound in the video is of the air filter housing vibrating against the top of the engine. I thought new engine mounts and air filter housing bracket would fix that but it didn't.
