1989 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series Description

Up for sale is arare low mileage Mercedes 560 SEL. You just can't find these cars with this kind of mileage. I bought it 2 years ago with the intentions of restoring it but as usual, that never happened. It's a shame too because it won't take much to get her back to her original beauty. The car runs and drives. I've even taken her out on the street and the highway but it's definitely not ready for a long trip. The brakes feel worn. The good news is it starts right up and sounds good although obviously it needs a tune-up. It's been sitting for 3 years. The car spent it's whole life in Florida until 4 years ago when it came up to Boston. The sunroof won't close all the way but it doesn't leak. I attempted to fix it myself (big mistake) I have no idea how to fix it. Everything is there, might need a motor. The antenna is missing. The drivers side front windowwon't open or close. Found DIY videos online on how to fix it and bought the little replacement pieces for it but again never got around to doing it. Bottom line is - it needs work but nothing too major. I can tell that someone who knows these cars could probably fix all theselittle things in a day. The paint is good. A good compounding and wax would bring it right back. Obviously, the best part of this car is the mileage. Perfect condition, with this mileage, they're going for $12,000 to $15,000. Iknow this car needs work so I'm no where near that. In fact I just need to get rid of it so I'm starting with a super lowreserve of $1,200. Anything over that is going to take it. My Ebay feedback is perfect. I've bought and sold cars here before. So I like to be honest and up front. The car needs work. It runs and drives but I really don't know about transmission or any of the other mechanicals. Winning bidder will need to leave a deposit within 24 hours. I don't play any games here so don't bother. GOOD LUCK!!! Someone is going to get one heck of a car!
