1966 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series SE Description

This Mercedes Benz 220SE Coupe was owned by a local business man here in Fresno, California for decades and was driven by him up until his age prevented him from driving about ten years ago. It's always been garaged and then was given to his grandson upon his passing. Odometer shows 56,723 but we have no way to know if this is the original mileage. We helped the grandson air up the tires and get it out of the garage and to our shop. The starter was in the trunk so we purchased another one, installed it and tried starting it but it wouldn't turn over. Not sure if we did something wrong but we are not very familiar with these cars so he wants to just sell it as-is. We can see that it has aftermarket air conditioning but other than that it looks 100% stock. The only rust we could find was very minimal and in the rear wheel well area. The interior is actually in really nice condition other than the seat upholstery itself. The dash is beautiful and the chrome trim looks great. This is definitely a solid, well cared for California car.
This Mercedes is now inside our shop and is available for inspection any day until the auction ends. It comes with a clean, California title with current tags but it's on a non-op so there are no fees due.
