The third generation of the R107 Mercedes Benz was produced 1971 to 1989; the pinnacle of this generation was the 560 SL model. This example looks almost as great as it did when it rolled off the showroom floor back in 1988. The paintwork is in fantastic shape overall with only a few minor imperfections to note, such as a light scratch on the hood and trunk lid. Moving onto the trim, the exterior brightwork is in very good condition with only minor blemishes. The Black plastic and rubber trim are the only thing that gives away the age of the vehicle as they are a bit faded but still in a very respectable condition. When you sit down in the car, the first thing you notice is how supple the leather is, it looks like no one has sat in the seats before, and for good reason, the seats were reupholstered back in 2013. The rest of the interior continues to impress with almost no cosmetic issues to see. Mechanically the car runs and drives just as Mercedes had envisioned, with no issues what so ever. We've driven it about 150 miles since gaining possession of the SL and have no problems to report. Wrapping up the overview of the car is taking a look at the wheels and tires, which just like the rest of the car are in great shape and there are no defects to mention. This 560 SL was clearly owned by someone who took a great deal of care in maintaining it, from the condition of the vehicle to all of the paperwork and invoices that stretch back to the mid-1990's, it even still has the original owners manual. Ultimately, shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, but we will do anything that we can to make the process easier for you.
