Window Sticker, maintenance book, service records, all the good stuff.
I found this car hiding in a garage in Central Illinois, folks had passed away, family moved to Washington, they were selling the house, I bought the car, pretty simple)
The car had been sitting for a extended period of time, not driven in since 2013, not started in (at least) a year or two. It was literally sitting with a cover on it and boxes piled on top of it. Nice way to treat a 17k mile car.
I put a battery in it, flushed all fluids and she fired right up and runs great, no excessive smoke, or anything like that. Original Pirellis were terribly flat spotted, I replaced them. Starts right up, idles very well...a bit cold blooded, but hey...it hasn't been tuned up for at least a decade. Shifts well, stops well,.
I was going to go through this car with a fine tooth comb, i.e., brakes...things like that...I just never got around to it with too many projects going on.
The car actually runs and drives very well, I replaced the tires...put 100 miles on it or so, no issues I noticed.
I priced the car low because the car retains the original timing chain guides and rails, they are fine, just original) The car should have a full service, belts, hoses, ect. They are all original!
This is something I would normally do over a weekend or two, but with 10 other cars to work on, I could use the capital for other cars. I have had the car in storage for the past few months, don't look like I'm going to get to it until next summer.
I know just like any other R107 I've resurrected that has been sitting, even a low mile original like this, that naturally, it will need some sorting out...there is nothing wrong with it...but...I'm just telling it like it is...
I pulled all the service records from the dealer, this car has not been to the dealer since the mid 90's. I have receipts from Independent shops dating to about 2010. So, she hasn't been serviced besides me changing the oil, coolant, flushing brake fluid, for at least 7 years. I checked the trans fluid, nice and red, differential oil I did not exchange.
All lights, gauges, ect. work fine.
This would be a great car to export, or fiddle with in your garage for a weekend or two.
Unlike most of these "other" guys that will cut and buff a car that has been sitting forever and call it a "movie star" or a "perfect 10" I'll be candid...the car is a super well documented ultra low mile (and it shows) example, that is completely original, and should be gone through before you drive it extensively. It has the original belts on it. Yes...the original belts.
Itis a time piece...that with maybe $500-$1,000 and a some time, and driving...you can have a fantastic car.
It is what it is...if Idon't sell it, I'll pull it out of storage, fully service it, take some fancy photos like I have for my 500SL Euro that I have oneBay,...and get 35k for it.
My picturesaren't the best. I took some nice photos this spring of my excellent buffing skills (I am like Picasso with a buffer)
Car is available for pickup next weekend when I pull it out of storage.
Clean and clear title...no funny business on this car. Fully documented. Look at myfeedback, I describe things accurately and do not sell junk. Payment within 3days of auction end...wire transfer preferred, but cash and carry always works too.
I can assist with shipping anywhere in the world. I have extensive experience shipping to Europe.
I threw a price up there, make me a offer that does not insult me...I am not desperate to sellthe car, but also understand that the market on these carisn't where it was 6 months ago. These guys wanting 40k-50k for these sub 20k mile cars never sell them, they live in a dream world. I live in the real world where things are worth what people are willing to pay for them.
