1985 Mecedes-Benz 280SL 105,165 Miles
1985 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Hard Top and Convertible Description
A 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280SL purchased overseas and modified to meat US standards before being shipped. Actual miles at 105,165, was my father's car that sat in his drive way out in Denver for many years. I got it back in 2006 and drove it to Atlanta where it has been in my garage. She needs some minor body work/paint, around a three inch tear in the drivers leather heated seat repaired, some small cracks in the upper dashboard, and the face on the fancy radio is damaged from the sun and the CD player is missing the 6CD Holder.
She is fully loaded and mechanically sound. I have copies of all of the work I have had done to keep her in great running shape. She is geared for the highway, as in slow off the line but just cruises so smooth when she is on the highway. She has a rust free body and her convertible top that is stored behind the rear seat looks unused once the hard top is removed. Full size spare with matching wheel that appears to have never been used. I also got a couple of extra keys from Mercedes made so she comes with three keys. My reason for selling her is I am moving back to CO to marry my high school sweetheart and she already has two cars. Some spare parts are included as well as a couple 380SL manuals and one 280SL printed book. Questions are welcome.
