Presented in its original Smoke Silver metallic paint and original interior. The paint is flawless except for a few key scratches on the passenger door, fender, and hood. Interior is in good overall condition, with some typical wear on the driver’s seat and chipped wood on the driver’s door. The dashboard has no cracks, and the analog clock keeps time accurately.Remaining tasks are to replace the hardtop inner lining and hood pad. An Autocheck report and the original owner’s manual and dealer service books are included.
This SL500 runs very well, nothing needed. Recent work included replacing the headlight switch, installing new distributor caps, V-belt, and transmission shifter bushings, along with standard maintenance. A new Alpine amplifier has been installed to replace the one in the original Bose audio system. This SL500 is solid, precise, and drives as it should. Photos of the underbody show it to be very clean and in fine condition for a twenty-three year-old car. The Michelin tires look to have about 40% of their tread life left. A/C works perfectly.
This is a fun, fast, and luxurious car to drive. Very nice driver quality example of one of the best bargains in high-end cars that are emerging as collectibles.
