1960 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series Description

1960 190D “Ponton”
  • 190D 4 cylinder diesel with switch for running on used veggie oil—environmental, inexpensive option!
  • Price includes filter & storage system for collecting your own used veggie oil
  • Excellent mileage
  • Solid runner; great town car
  • In original condition with typical blemishes and wear for a car this age
  • The car is insured, registered, and was regularly driven once or twice a week
  • I’ve barely used the veggie oil in the last 3 years, and perhaps only 100 gallons overall have been burned. If I hadn’t moved to less space in the city, I’d definitely be keeping the car!
  • There are no issues regarding filters or injectors. There is a 4amp heater to ensure proper viscosity before you switch to veggie. I run it clean and warm on diesel first, then always flip it back to diesel a mile or more before stopping.
  • Veggie unit installed by an expert with lots of experience: “Mr. Green Wrench” out of Lancaster, PA. Never a problem with the unit; it’s a very clean and discrete installation. The unwitting would never know it has the veggie option.
  • Inspections are invited and recommended, email any questions, all will be answered honestly and promptly.
