See You Tube Video “Mercedes 560SEC–Restored–Wow.”

This is a California car since new and absolutely no rust ever. One family owner from 1989 to 2015, or 26 years, then purchased by another California collector, who took a year to restore this vehicle.

He lost his warehouse space and I purchased it in September, 2016, sight unseen. I finished the work with a new front windshield, power steering pump rebuild and A/C compressor!

There isn’t a better 560 SEC in the nation, period! You will never, and I mean never, find a nicer example of this beautiful, rare and restored 560 SEC.

Tons of money was spent restoring this marvelous vehicle to this current, almost museum quality and condition. If there’s a better one, buy it quick!

Comes with the original window sticker, manuals, restoration receipts, California plates, CarFax, etc.

This is a pristine, no rust, no damage, no excuse 560 SEC. Not the rust buckets with no history, 200k miles and needing thousands of dollars of work like most you see here on E-Bay. This unbelievable 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SEC has the original window sticker and many records and documents.

It has been a California car all it’s life until I purchased it and brought it to Kansas in September, 2016.

History

Since purchasing this beauty in September, 2016, I have installed the final few items that needed attention. A new front windshield, power steering pump and new A/C Compressor were installed at a cost of over $3,000.

The car needs nothing and everything works, except the cruise control.

I’ve chosen not to repair the cruise control as I have no need for it since the vehicle is only used to go 10 miles to and from my country club!

I have tons of records and documents on this vehicle.

The original owner, a very successful businessman and real estate developer in Newport Beach, passed on 3/30/2002 and his wife kept and drove the car. When she was unable to drive, she gave the car to her 50+ year old son, who rarely drove it.

So, same family from 1989 to early 2015.

He sold it to the second owner, a collector, in early 2015 and he spent all of 2015 and part of 2016 painting and restoring the vehicle. However, he lost his warehouse space and had to sell his collection.

I purchased the vehicle from him in September, 2016 and as noted above, finished up the last few items that needed attention, namely, a new front windshield, power steering pump and new air conditioning compressor.

The vehicle was repainted at a cost of $7,500 and had 104,881 miles on it during the one year restoration. Entire restoration was just a little more than 1,000 miles ago.

The vehicle was and is rust free and, according to the body shop owner (whom I recently talked to), is a no hit, no damage vehicle that spent its entire life in California. Paint, chrome, brightwork, are all either OEM or polished to new condition. New tires, wheels, headlamps, corner lights, tail lights are all OEM factory new.

The vehicle has about 106,200 on it now. I’m driving it back and forth to the golf course, so it may have a few more miles on it when you purchase it.

This 1989 model shares all of the features with the 1990 and 1991 models, not the older, less desirable models from 1986 to 1988.

It is one of the most desirable and hard to find color combination with white exterior and beautiful light gray interior.

When the car was purchased it was all in original condition. Restoration included new paint, new headlights, corner lights, taillights (all OEM new parts).

All the emblems are brand new. All the stainless steel trim has been professionally polished or replaced with OEM, including all trim around the windows.

Tires are brand new Michelin's with new chromed factory wheels.

Paint is new and is in perfect shape with no door dings, rock chips, damage, etc. $7,500.

Electronics are also perfect and everything works as they are supposed to, again, except the cruise control.

The vehicle was completely serviced so there is no reason why you can’t drive this car across the country!!

Last winter, I kept this vehicle in a heated climate controlled garage all winter and it did not leak a drop of oil! There were no fluid leaks, oil leaks, absolutely no smoke or funny noises.

But, to get it ready for the summer, I took the car in to my service mechanic in May, 2017, and asked him to completely go over the vehicle.

He found that the power steering pump was just starting to leak, so we had it completely rebuilt.

Also, the Air Conditioning wasn’t blowing cold, so we put Freon in it that didn’t hold and installed a new compressor.

Front windshield was replaced as it had a small rock chip in it.

The car shifts perfectly, drives straight as an arrow.

I’m describing this vehicle accurately, but welcome any personal review or test drive. Should you wish, and at your cost, I’ll be glad to take the vehicle to a Mercedes Benz dealer and have them provide you with an analysis of this beauty. You will appreciate the value and quality of this rare Mercedes.

You could spend over $30,000.00 finding a 560SEC with perhaps 30,000 miles, but I can guarantee you it will not be cleaner or in better condition than this.
